This introductory course to Political Science deals with what is considered in France as its main current research field, Political Sociology. It treats political issues as socially grounded and thus studies main objects of political science through social lenses : power, the control of violence, the functioning of institutions, people’s behaviors and beliefs. This course is designed for law students and relies on a comparatist and pluridisciplinary approach.
