Introduction to Economics
Principles of economics; national accounts; macroeconomic aggregate measures
Chapter 1 focus on the object and methods, while chapter 2 presents some applications and graphics in economics. Chapter 3 introduces the national accounts, and Chapter 4 presents agents and economic operations. Chapter 5 focus on the product approach, and Chapter 6 on the Input-Output table. Chapter 7 focus on the revenue approach, and Chapter 8 on the Tableau Economique d’Ensemble. Chapter 9 looks at the separation between price and volume, and Chapter 10 at employment, unemployment and the Balance of Payments.

The goal of this course is that at the end of the semester, students should have acquired in one hand, the main principles in economics, and in the other hand the main definitions of national accounts. In summary, this course is a combination of introduction to economics with a class on National Accounts.
